Weather Station Data Availability Through Data Export Service

An enhancement to the Envizi ESG Suite's Data Export Service to include the Weather Station data assigned to each location would deliver significant value to clients in the location export. Providing direct access to the weather station at the location level information would empower users to perform more sophisticated and customized downstream reporting and analysis.

Currently, while Envizi leverages weather data for internal calculations like normalization, the inability to export this raw data alongside other ESG metrics creates a gap for organizations wishing to conduct their own comprehensive business intelligence, correlate weather impacts on consumption and operations, and develop more advanced predictive models from the Data Export Service. By including weather station data in the export service, IBM would significantly increase the utility of the platform, enabling clients to unlock deeper insights, improve the accuracy of their environmental reporting, and better understand the direct and indirect effects of weather on their overall sustainability performance.

    Thank you for raising this idea. We have recently extended our data export service to allow extract reports to be sent directly to a Data Export service (S3 or SFTP). IBM documentation will be updated this week to reflect the new capability.
