Request for Enhanced Accrual Controls and Methodology Flexibility in Envizi

Our global utility data is sourced from multiple utility providers, each with different reporting formats. For international locations, data is all captured based on invoice dates rather than from/to periods, and in several cases, invoices are issued bi-monthly. This creates gaps that that we do not want Envizi to do the accruals.

From our perspective, the following enhancements would be important:
•    Country-level configuration: Ability to define where accruals should or should not apply, based on regional data characteristics.
•    Account exclusion: As discussed and you confirmed that this feature exists now, we would like to leverage the existing capability to exclude specific accounts from accrual calculations.
•    Flexible methodology selection: Currently, Envizi allows only one accrual methodology. This may create issues, for example for natural gas, if “same month last year” is selected but no historical data exists, the system does not generate an accrual, resulting in gaps that impact audit readiness.

To address this, it would be helpful to allow multiple fallback methodologies , so accruals can still be generated when the primary method is not applicable.

Overall, the objective is to reduce manual intervention, improve data completeness, and ensure audit consistency across all regions.
