GWP Selection

It would be beneficial for the platform to allow users to select a single IPCC Assessment Report as the GWP basis for all emissions factors used in inventory measurement. This is useful because the GHG Protocol requires a consistent set of GWPs across the inventory, but emissions factor sources may rely on different GWP assumptions. Without this functionality, we need to manually upload custom emissions factors to align calculations to a chosen basis, such as AR6.

This feature would benefit sustainability and ESG reporting teams, carbon accounting practitioners, and any organization using multiple emissions factor sources. It would improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and support more transparent and auditable reporting.

Ideally, the platform would let users choose a GWP basis — such as AR4, AR5, or AR6 —and then apply it consistently across all calculations. It would also be helpful if users could recalculate prior-year inventories using the selected basis when new IPCC Assessment Reports are adopted.
