Thank you for raising this idea. We have no immediate plans to provide an API to query the status of file loading but will consider this along with other enhancements to our Data Flow Automation solution.
We are considering improvements to Data Receipt Reports to make the information in these reports machine readable (e.g., output receipt reports as a csv file or spreadsheet instead of pdf). While this information won't be available via an API, it could be used as an intermediary step if the goal is to automate the process of checking file loads for errors. The enhancement to Data Receipt Reports is being considered for 2024.
