This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Hi Helga -- it is already possible to configure the scenarios you have laid out. Virtual Data Rules represent the overall data structure of a rule, but then when a virtual account is configured using virtual account relationships you specify the individual accounts used in those rules.
Also, it is already possible to create formulas that have multiple variables from the same data type. Using your Diesel example I have configured a sample rule in your instance to illustrate how this would be done. The rule is called "EnviziESG-I-493 Total Diesel Used Example". This rules uses the Diesel Stationary [kL] data type for both variables in the formula and subtracts KL of Diesel from KL of Diesel. When you create the virtual account you simply nominate the Total Invoiced Diesel account to fill the first variable and the Mine Diesel to fill the second variable. This then gives you the Total used as you desire.
If you need further assistance with these rules please reach out to me (michael.dunbar@ibm.com) via email and we can set up a session to review the functionality.
Regards, Michael.
