Enhancement to Envizi APIs: Multiple Values against Search Parameters

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Currently Envizi APIs do not support searching for multiple values against a Search Parameter. It will be good to have an enhancement where its feasible to retrieve data via Envizi API by providing multiple values as a search Criteria against a particular search parameter.

Use Case: Currently to retrieve Monthly Account Summaries of All Energy Utility Types (i.e. Data Type / Account Style is of type Electrcity, Gas Oil, Diesel, Petrol etc), the API call has to be made separately for each Data Type / Account Style. Instead it should be feasible to retrieve all Energy Utility Types (i.e. Data Type / Account Style is of type Electrcity, Gas Oil, Diesel, Petrol etc) in a single API Call.

Thanks for raising the request for enchancements on API reports.

API reports are replicas of reports that users run on the web user interface. It is an existing mandate to select a single item in each of the reporting selection criteria in order to retrieve data from reports.

The expansion of selections to multiple items is not in on the product road map.

The suggested alternative is to invoke API calls multiple times with a single parameter value each time. In the case of the Monthly Data Summary report, one can opt to use the Filter #3 the 'Category' filter to select an aggregated list of similar data types. For example, choosing the 'Electricity' in Filter #3 will retrieve all electricity related data types only, such as Electricity [kWh], Electricity [kWh] - Scope 3 and Electricity Green [kWh].
