Currency conversion errors

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

We have experienced that uploading data in our local currency (NOK), Envizi will convert this to USD in the system, only to convert it back to NOK again. We see this as unnecessary functionality that skews the data in the system, and affecting our cost and emissions data. Is there any possibility in changing this design in Envizi? Attached is a screenshot that shows an example, we have uploaded a sum of 1000 NOK, it converts to around 90 USD, and then back to 1005 NOK.

    Thanks for raising the concern.

We have performed an assessment on this and it appears there is no conversion involved in the display of total cost on this particular screen (account summary dashboard).

The reason of the observation of the difference of 1000 NOK and 1005 NOK is that 1000 NOK is an actual cost amount entered for the historical period of Jan - Dec 2023, while on the Account Summary page it shows the last 12 months value which is a different period from Nov-2023 to Oct-2024 - this includes accrued cost values from the month of Jan-2024 to Oct-2024 (accrued values are system generated estimates to fill in data gaps).

The monthly values can be further reviewed from the Review -> Monthly Data page.
