KPI's to have a category in PowerBI where they can be columns within a data table

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

I would like to see KPI's be treated like emissions, energy, and cost within PowerBI. Today, KPI's in general are hidden in Account Style Category > Item > Account style/component. The only way to have the data for the KPI's to show up is though "native units". This brings in unnecessary and unwanted data. What would make more sense and what I think would be more user friendly would be to have a main category called "KPI's" (just like cost, emissions, energy). Under that main category you would have KPI type (what the KPI is) and any common things like per year calculations, variances, etc.

Under the main category "Unit", KPI unit would be added to the list.

In theory, I think restructuring PowerBI as mentioned above would allow for KPI's to show up as a column within a data table where a sum of the KPI's without bringing in native units of energy. The column would contain only the units related to that particular KPI.
