Thanks for raising the enhancement request for the Monthly Data Summary report API.
We have reviewed this request with the team, and have decided not to pursue this idea.
There are a few reasons to it:
Data in the _Envizi-MonthlyDataSummary are not records per se but they are system calculated, calendar normalised monthly data - based on records captured in the system. These monthly data do not have the concept of 'last modified' as their values (including historical ones) are constantly refreshed whenever there are events that trigger changes to the account and its data within, such as a new file upload, a manual update of record, monthly auto refresh of accrual values, opening and closing of accounts etc.
Even with the introduction of 'Last Modified On, it will not likely fully address the use case of detecting changes. For example, the report does not show any monthly data that have been deleted as a result of record deletion, or account removal by users in the platform. To detect these deletion of data changes, a full comparison of the entire data set before and after, is likely to be required for a given reporting period.
The concept of 'Updated On' or 'last modified' is in general an attribute of records that are captured in the platform. For this purpose, the other API report called '_Envizi-AccountStyleDataExtract' report could be used instead to retrieve records and their last updated on dates (however it still would not cover the scenario of records deletion).
