Enable Account Data Approvals for virtual accounts, with visibility of the calculation formula behind each virtual account

Currently, Account Data Approvals are only available for standard accounts, and virtual accounts cannot be included in the approval workflow. This limits our ability to validate important calculated values and ensure accuracy across the full dataset.

We would like Account Data Approvals to support virtual accounts as well. In addition, it would be very useful to have visibility into the formula or calculation logic behind each virtual account, so approvers and reviewers can understand how the values are derived and ensure they are correct.

    Thank you for raising this idea. We agree that where virtual account data is used for reporting it would be useful to tie the approval status to the calculated value. To do this would require locking the underlying records (supported) as well as the virtual data rules and virtual account relationships (currently not supported). We have marked this item for Future consideration while we work with our tech team to see how we can address this.
