Bulk Virtual Account Rule Creation and Tag Management Enhancement

Clients implementing Virtual Account Rules in Envizi face exceptionally high manual workloads. Currently, for each virtual account, a minimum of two unique rules must be created for every equation—one for consumption and one for cost. Larger clients with multiple equations often need to create hundreds or thousands of rules, which becomes further complicated when rules change monthly/temporally and require manual edits in the relationship editor.

This repetitive lift deters clients from adopting the solution at scale without a bulk upload capability. 

Additionally, the need to adjust source account CO2e and Base Measure reporting percentages is problematic. Bulk uploading tags does not overwrite existing data, resulting in duplicated tags and requires manual intervention for updates—a major inefficiency for clients.

    Hi Adam - can these please be separated into separate requests as they are very different areas of the platform?

    Regarding bulk virtual account relationship configuration, this is being reviewed for our 2026 roadmap. We have not yet determined which quarter it will be worked on. It would be good to understand the specific use case better as there may be better ways to achieve the desired outcome than thousands of shifting virtual account relationships.

    Regarding bulk tag updates -- the UI supports bulk actions for deletion and bulk assignment. We have had minimal demand previously for bulk overwrite/update functionality as normally clients don't want to change their historical tag values (rather they tend to create new tags). If a bulk update is required it can be achieved by first bulk deleting then bulk assigning the updated values/labels.

    However, please note that the partner facing setup template "Setup Account Tag Memberships" does support bulk updates and even deletions of existing tag assignments.
