IBM Support ticket details:TS004217725- CAD Integrator is not showing any indication when the user attempts to retire a space record, if the space record is associated with chargeback allocations (JIRA 2376)
Description:When retiring a space in Tririga, there is a validation banner that appears if there are associated records. These associated records need to be removed before the space can be retired from within Tririga. When retiring a space using CI>Drawing>Child Records, there is no validation check and the space record's status is changed from Active to Retired. This process allows the associated records to stay in place and this can affect other Tririga calculations.

Background Summary
When retiring a space in Tririga, there is a validation banner that appears if there are associated records. These associated records need to be removed before the space can be retired from within Tririga. When retiring a space using CI>Drawing>Child Records, there is no validation check and the space record's status is changed from Active to Retired. This process allows the associated records to stay in place and this can affect other Tririga calculations.
Business Requirements
As part of BAU, the CAD team will create and retire spaces utilizing the tools within CAD Integrator (CI).
The process is that the polyline is detached in the dwg file since it no longer exists due to a renovation or physical space adjustment.
The space then is considered to be an unattached space.
The drafter then sets the unattached sf value to 0 using CI. This removes any sf values from being rolled into calculations concerning chargeback allocations.
Then the drafter will retire the unattached space in CI. When performing this from CI, there is no validation back from Tririga that there are occupancy, chargeback, or people existing in the space.
Whereas, when retiring a space within Tririga, a validation occurs and a warning banner appears to remove those values, then retiring the space.
Since the dwg file is the record of the cradle to grave life of a space, retiring of spaces occurs from the drafters' efforts.
CI allows for these records to have their sf value and create their retire status in bulk as opposed to doing it one space at a time through Tririga.
Expected Results
There needs to be an alignment in process here from Tririga that provides for the same actions to be performed in CI, so that these orphaned data points are nullified.
Acceptance Criteria
Current Scenario: When retiring a space in CI from the Autocad dwg, there is no validation to warn of orphaning other associated records.
Future Scenario: There needs to be an alignment in process here from Tririga that provides for the same actions to be performed in CI, so that these orphaned data points are nullified.
Given CI retires unattached spaces and has the ability to set the sf value to 0 so that any math functions are not impacted on orphaned sf values.
Then The other data points for occupancy and people should also be cleared.
