Ability to load the Reserve Add-In and Forward Meeting Invitations to an IBM Reserve-managed Room

  1. Currently, the Reserve Add-In is not an Outlook ribbon option to load when performing the Forward Event. Would like to have this load; am not sure if this is an issue with the Outlook Forward Template.

2. When forwarding the meeting to a room via the Outlook GAL Room List AND the meeting organizer is external to my organization, the Reserve App server (SMTP listner) rejects this because the organizer is not a valid user of the system. NOTE: This forwarding works fine where the Organizer is an internal user, yet to point 1 we cannot load the Reserve Add-In. Rather than allow all external users to 'book' a room, instead this idea would have the internal user doing the forwarding act as the 'proxy' by which Reserve's SMTP listner is able to recognize the "[Internal User] on behalf of [External User]" to then book the room under the valid Internal User.

    Hello Kenneth,
Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product roadmap strategy and therefore will not be considering it for inclusion in our product. Thank you again for your feedback.
