Having predefined road blocks incl. candidates as PMs, how to ensure such road blocks will come as related records?

As a road block planner, I take for granted that having a PM defined as a package between a road block and defined work, it will come with related link between the WO and the road block, so that it will not be different from an alike combination I create manually.

At this time there is not enough information to put this item under consideration. I am open to re-opening the Idea but as I understand it, the core issue is not about associating the roadblock WO with the PM WO, but rather the creation of a new WO for the roadblock automatically, for which we need to consider the implications carefully so we don't create more roadblock WOs than are necessary. This may prereq roadblock optimization logic that can detect existing roadblocks that could be used instead of creating a new one.

More information from the customer: If a PM contains a work order that requires a roadblock, then the roadblock work order should be generated automatically and associated with the work order from the PM.

Response from IBM: concern is that we create too many roadblock work orders. How do we know if a roadblock is available already? One option is to generate a flag to specify that the work order is a candidate for a closure but not automatically create a new workorder. Otherwise, this may require a new type of PM with logic to create the roadblock.

Are you asking to create an alert when there is a planned WO from a PM is scheduled in the same time frame as a planned closure? Or to add a planned WO automatically into the clossure? This seems like it could cause problems.
