This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

At this time there is not enough information to put this item under consideration. I am open to re-opening the Idea but as I understand it, the core issue is not about associating the roadblock WO with the PM WO, but rather the creation of a new WO for the roadblock automatically, for which we need to consider the implications carefully so we don't create more roadblock WOs than are necessary. This may prereq roadblock optimization logic that can detect existing roadblocks that could be used instead of creating a new one.
More information from the customer: If a PM contains a work order that requires a roadblock, then the roadblock work order should be generated automatically and associated with the work order from the PM.
Response from IBM: concern is that we create too many roadblock work orders. How do we know if a roadblock is available already? One option is to generate a flag to specify that the work order is a candidate for a closure but not automatically create a new workorder. Otherwise, this may require a new type of PM with logic to create the roadblock.
Are you asking to create an alert when there is a planned WO from a PM is scheduled in the same time frame as a planned closure? Or to add a planned WO automatically into the clossure? This seems like it could cause problems.
