Problem Description from the meeting with Phil Camacho (Navy DPO FEM) and IBM:
Phil said that he currently manages eight separate government entities, each with its own configurations, networks, and servers. As part of this work, he must generate and provide unique license keys for each environment.
Phil recently sent an Air Force administrator a license key that he originally generated in January 2026. Due to the term date on that key, he will need to generate a new one in June 2026—less than six months later. This cycle creates a recurring bottleneck every June, where Phil may be required to generate 25 or more license keys across multiple MAS instances.
If Phil is unavailable—due to illness, vacation, or other reasons—this creates a significant operational risk. His goal is to prevent this annual bottleneck and reduce dependency on a single individual.
Historically, in Maximo EAM (before MAS), this issue did not exist. Users accessed PAO directly and downloaded the software themselves. As a result, key regeneration was not a burden on Phil.
