Security/Support for STIG in OpenShift - Configure a template for newly created projects to use default resource quotas and make sure this template is referenced from the default project template.

Federal requirements enforce the use of STIGs within OpenShift.  One of the items is related to Resource Quotas and Limits for each project created within OpenShift.  With a template, OpenShift can implement these to any and all projects that are created in OpenShift, but this can lead to some misconfiguration based upon the MAS CLI choices and other parts of MAS that require more or less than the "Default template" that is applied.

I would request that each project for MAS have a default template created based upon the options selected during the pipeline creation.  This would allow flexibility for the customer but also adhere to the STIG for security purposes.  Resource Quotas and Limits are essential to ensure pods are not "running away" with resources or if one becomes compromised, it doesnt take all resources as (As if someone installs an application like a crypto miner etc.)

    Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

Hi - Thankyou for your idea. Our MAS containers are hardened in compliance with the RHEL STIGs rather than the Openshift STIGs. Details about our compliance and remediations are available on request, subject to agreement by our security team.

At this time, it would be cost prohibitive to add Openshift STIG compliance.
