This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Ability to implement Kustomize based on documentation that will be provided in the future.
In Maximo we had to make a choice on the automation technology we would use to deliver OOTB solutions for customers, and we chose Ansible+Tekton, there are a myriad of alternatives that any given customer may have chosen, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. What we cannot do is provide support for each and every one of these, we have chosen to focus on a single automation technology with the goal to deliver a high quality automation engine that can be used by all customers.
This does not prevent customers or business partners from developing their own automation solutions based on other technologies, but I do not believe it's likely we in Maximo will ever be in a position where we support additional automation options; our strategy is two-fold: ansible (idempotent imperative) and argocd (declarative). We also accept that currently we are lacking in the necessary documentation that would make it realistic & feasible for any customer to realistically create such automation, and would look to address that, but no timeline discussed.
