Publishing & Color Control - Graphics - Pfizer

New Graphic applications in Property, Building and Space tabs

The publishing and color‑control issues arise because the new React-based Graphic engine handles XRef colors fundamentally differently from the older servlet implementation.

Old system (Servlet):
Published drawings inherited colors and layers from Space Planning files, allowing overrides such as grayscale XRefs.

New system (React):
Drawings now pull colors and layer data directly from architectural reference files (XRefs), which leads to:

  • Wrong colors (architect’s colors instead of grayscale)

  • Misaligned coordinates (origins differ)

  • No current mechanism to override XRef colors

Root Cause:
The React architecture uses a different color‑rendering pipeline, so the former behavior isn’t automatically replicated.

What’s needed:
A React‑level enhancement to support color‑override logic for external references so output matches the previous servlet behavior.
