Make use of MAS Storage class in MREF for Archive data or documents

We recently came across a requirement from customer to put archive data in MREF and we didnt want to put them in the MREF Database or DM_Contents table. Since MREF is part of MAS now, we thought of making use of the MAS storage class.

This approach will help manage archived information efficiently while ensuring it remains accessible when required. We can proceed with configuring the storage class accordingly for the archival use case.

Please create a provision to make use of MAS storage class from MREF

    Hi Abdu - thank you for your idea - we are currently evaluating an archival and purging strategy for Maximo Real Estate and Facilities for 9.3 (due to be delivered in June 2027). We'll add this into the considerations for the strategy. No guarantee that we will adopt this yet but we'll report back in about 8 weeks time once we have a clearer view on where we want that to take us.
