Intuitive Risk Assessment Experience for Permit Issuer and Receiver (PTW)

Why is it useful?
The current risk assessment experience in the Permit to Work application can be difficult to interpret and time taking, especially under time pressure. Risks and associated precautions may not be fully read by permit issuer and the permit receiver due to time taken, which can lead to miscommunication, missed controls, or unsafe work execution. A more intuitive and user-friendly risk assessment screen would improve clarity, comprehension, and safety outcomes.

Who would benefit from it?

  • Permit Issuers and Issuing Authorities
  • Permit Receivers / Work Executing Teams
  • HSE and Safety Officers
  • Supervisors involved in permit reviews
  • This enhancement would benefit all industries using PTW, especially Oil & Gas operations where accurate understanding of risks and controls is critical.

How should it work?

  • The risk assessment screen should be redesigned to provide a clear, guided, and visual experience something like a tabular format, enabling both issuer and receiver to Quickly understand risks and required precautions.
