Currently using Maximo 7.6.
When creating a PM with a route attached, I am creating it using a jobplan of specific tasks and duration to perform on a specific asset.
My problem is how it then generates the assignment duration on the work order.
If you have a jobplan for example 0.5 hours, and you have 10 assets to maintain in the route. Even if you add in a duration of 5.0 hours into the PM front screen, the jobplan time of 0.5 still seems to override everything when the work orders are created. The issue this creates is that the work orders then generate with the 0.5 hours on the assignment no matter if you have 1 asset or 20 assets against the route, which makes planning the actual time required to undertake the work very difficult.
I have found it is a similar issue when creating Parent/Child PMs. The Parent doesn't automatically add up the duration of all the Children PMs for planning purposes. To rectify this in my role, I have created an empty jobplan (multiple different versions of) for all the parents (this tells the PM the duration and skill level required to generate the parent WO with).
Is there a way of doing this more accurately?
Thanks
Molly Gill
