Pre Load Custom CSS in MAS9.1 apps if any.

In MAS 9.1, the default application layout uses comparatively larger font sizes, field spacing, and overall screen padding when compared with our existing environment. Due to this, end users are required to scroll horizontally and vertically more frequently during application usage.

To optimize screen utilization and improve user experience, we implemented a custom CSS compression file to reduce font sizes and compress the overall screen layout. However, currently when an application is opened, the screen initially loads with the default MAS 9.1 styling and then switches to the custom compressed CSS view after a fraction of a second.

Because of this transition delay, users experience a temporary “zoom-in/zoom-out” or screen adjustment effect during application loading, which impacts usability and gives an inconsistent UI experience.

Requesting this to be considered as an enhancement so that whenever custom CSS is configured, MAS should preload and apply the custom CSS during the initial application rendering itself, instead of applying it after the default UI is loaded. This would provide a smoother and more seamless user experience without visual transition effects.

    Hi,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. This Idea is being closed, as It appears this issue is a defect with the current functionality. Instead, a defect has been raised to address the issue in a future release.

    This statement is a bug:
    "when an application is opened, the screen initially loads with the default MAS 9.1 styling and then switches to the custom compressed CSS view after a fraction of a second."
    This should only occur once, and then the user should have the CSS overrides cached on that browser going forward. If that is not the experience you have, please enter a support case.
