Support PDF Viewing in Kiosk Mode for Maximo Mobile.

Currently, when a user opens a PDF attachment from Maximo Mobile while the device is running in Intune kiosk mode, nothing happens. The PDF viewer is not launched and the document cannot be displayed. Image attachments, however, open correctly in the same environment.

Outside kiosk mode, Android prompts the user to choose a PDF viewer (for example, Adobe Acrobat Reader), and the PDF opens successfully.

We would like Maximo Mobile to officially support PDF viewing in Microsoft Intune kiosk mode.

Maximo Mobile does not officially support Microsoft Intune kiosk mode. However, PDF viewing may work with this workaround:

    • For Multi-App Kiosk: Navigate to your Device Restriction profile > Device experience > Kiosk. Under the Multi-app kiosk mode apps list, add both your primary application and the PDF reader.
    • For Single-App Kiosk: If your primary app requires an external PDF reader, you may need to switch to Multi-app mode using the Microsoft Managed Home Screen launcher.

Note: This workaround is not officially supported and may not be reliable in all scenarios.
