Business Requirements
Within an organization, as some purchasing and contracts shift from a site or branch to global procurement, it becomes necessary to bring various existing contracts under one master contract that can be managed globally.
Use Cases
Various sites within an organization currently have contracts with Lenovo to supply their computer equipment. Corporately, the company has decided to centralize the computers purchases and wish to bring the site contracts under one master contract.
Problem Definition
Currently, we do not allow contracts to be associated with a master unless it is initially created under that master.
Approach
Create a new action under Master Contracts, “Associate Contract” that will allow an existing contract to be associated with a master. Some business rules will be defined for the eligibility of the association, particularly that the vendor in the associated contract is same as the master contract.
