This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

HI all ... this idea is already achievable today with little configuration. While FORMS in Maximo are targeted to compliment information related to existing Maximo processes, we do not expect to use FORMS as a workflow or to drive processes in Maximo. Maximo is not a form based solution. Having said that, form is also a free form definition that can capture anything. As part of the custom configurable actions that can act on data collected by an inspection result, customers can create an action (script) to map their custom defined form with the proper maximo objects that will need to be updated with the data collected. This is doable today ... If a customer states that other tools have it, the same effort to write plugins to integrate form data with any other external based tool would have to be written to work with Maximo. We're not different. In the other hand, it's important to emphasize that we don't need forms to update asset or work data through Mobile. Mobile have features that allow work order and assets to be updated directly from the app without a need for a form. Marking ideas as already available, with minimum effort required to build the script to migrate form data to the related Maximo object.
