MAS Manage - Automatic Authentication to Cognos Analytics

Nowadays is required the user to connect first into Cognos Analytics application, keep the Cognos Analytics tab opened to run any Cognos report from any application. The idea is to Cognos works the same as Maximo 7.6.1.x where there is no need to authenticate in Cognos again.

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

    At present, seamless automatic authentication between Maximo and Cognos is not available by default. In most cases, users need to authenticate separately in Cognos unless a shared Single Sign-On configuration (such as SAML) has been implemented across both CPD and Manage.

    With a properly configured SAML setup, users may experience automatic sign-in across both systems.
