Pre-build index on KPI kpimainid, recordedon and kpivalue

We have identified that the most frequently used query in our environment is:

select

kh.kpivalue, kh.recordedon

from

kpimain k,

kpihistory kh

where

k.kpimainid = kh.kpimainid

and k.kpiname =?

order by

recordedon desc

This query is running very slowly. To address this, we created the following index, which resolved the performance issue:

create index kpihistory_bpd1 on kpihistory (kpimainid, recordedon, kpivalue);

Questions:

We have observed the same issue in other environments. Will IBM include this index in future releases, as it becomes slow when many KPIs are defined?
