If you select an WO and try to direct print with attachment(s) linked to https or http sharepoint sites, such as Content Server, that require credential authentication, direct print will fail due to credential are null. "Error:SERRORReport failed to execute. null". I've created a ticket with IBM (TS016934957), the conclusion from developer was: "Direct print doesn't support when attachments are stored out side maximo and authentication needed." "Unfortunately I believe you are bumping up into a product limitation with these types of attachments." "I had another similar CASE, but have not seen any push to implement it. I have not investigated how to support SSO. So let the customer create RFE and we will see if that can be done."
Case TS016934957 conclusion from support: The issue is due to a product limitation with printing attachments that require authentication and do not end in a file extension. The developer has stated that "Direct print doesn't support when attachments are stored outside Maximo and authentication is needed." Additionally, the stack trace shows a NullPointerException error, which further supports this conclusion.

NYPA has Content Server 21.4 by OpenText. Content Server 21.4 does not support OAuth client flow authentication for document access. However, OTDS has OAuth 2.0 authentication capabilities. OTDS can be configured as an OAuth 2.0 as per the below forum and KBA. https://forums.opentext.com/forums/developer/discussion/308065/oauth-2-0-authentication-with-otds?utm_source=community-search&utm_medium=organic-search&utm_term=OAuth+2.0+Authentication+with+OTDS Note however for what you are trying to achieve, I'd suggest Maximo look to basic authentication where POSTING the credentials will return an otcsticket. Once the ticket is received it can be used to fetch the documents needed.

We Also want direct print for attachments in OneDrive and Sharedrive/Shared folder.
Thanks,

For us, the SharePoint site is Online version (cloud based).
Another case, similar to mine here. https://ideas.ibm.com/ideas/MASM-I-1271
Hope IBM will consider developing this fix (not an enhancement) soon!
Thanks,
Joe Guimaraes
We are in progress to migrate our Maximo 7.6.1.3 to the IBM MAS 9 AWS cloud as well. We are told that direct print with attachments feature avaible on Maximo 7.6.1.3 won't be available on MAS 9. That feature is used by our Maximo business users daily, and we would like MAS 9 to restore that feature to make Maximo more efficient. We do have attachments stored on our centralized SharePoint site and also network shared drive, we expect those attachments could be allowed to print with authorization.
We are in progress to migrate our Maximo 7.6.1.3 to the IBM Cloud; we have a substantial number of WOs with attachments links to our centralized SharePoint/Content Server solution. We can't reduce the security level to allow direct printing to fetch those documents without authentication credentials, specially after moving our Maximo solution to IBM MAS, causing the separation of Maximo and documents solutions across those 2 datacenters. NYPA Cyber will not allow that to happen.
Thanks,
Joe Guimaraes
