RELATED IDEAS

Disqualified vendors error on work order planned materials

If the last vendor an item was purchased from is disqualified the item cannot be added as planned material on a work order. The error is company is not valid. There are valid companies on the item so the system should use a vendor that is not disabled.

    Hi,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

    Based on the review of the request how does a user add planned materials to a work order if the system stops it due to one vendor being disabled? Not allowing the item to be planned on the work order creates a work stoppage for the users since there is no work around to get items added if they last vendor is disabled. I would think this would be something for the product strategy and roadmap since it creates as problem for a user who needs to plan materials on a work order, but the system will not allow it.
