Possibility to configure the ESIG password

In the 'old' Maximo, we could configure password requirements, such as the length of the password and whether it had to contain upper- or lower-case letters.

You cannot do that with the E-Signature password in MAS. This is problematic because the current minimum password length is 15 characters, which is inconvenient for our clients. This is too long to remember and takes up a lot of time if they need to type it in multiple times a day. It is especially problematic on mobile devices, as users make too many mistakes.

Ideally, we would be able to control these properties so that the ESIG password could be made as simple as possible while still meeting audit requirements.

If and when the situation arises in the future that the esig and user passwords need to be configured differently please enter a new request.

    Hi all,

ESIG password in MAS uses the local user password.
The local user password is controlled by password policy and you can define any rule you want. Refer the doc here - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/masv-and-l/cd?topic=settings-configuring-password

So, the password length could be updated to any number as needed by you. Please check the attached image for the same.
