MULTI LANGUAGE - Secondary language description to update primary table when value is blank (when adding records on secondary language it does not update primary table)

My customer is rolling out MAS accross several geographies. Now we are on South America with Spanish and Portuguese language speakers.

Our MAS instance has English as base language and spanish/portuguese as additional.

When we create new records using English language, Maximo main tables are filles and so do the L_ language tables

But, if someone that is using Portuguese or Spanish creates new record, L_ table is filled but the main table is not, as result of this, we have Job Plans, Preventive Maintenances, Work Orders, Assets with description only on the language it was created, if someone logs in using other language, their description is blank.

 

It would be nice for MAS to check, if the user is creating the record (lets say Asset) using Spanish language L_ASSET and main table (ASSET) does not have description, then Maximo will pick the description from L_ASSET.DESCRIPTION and put it into ASSET.DESCRIPTION

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product roadmap strategy and therefore will not be considering it for inclusion in our product. Thank you again for your feedback.
