Application for registering Inventory Bin Numbers and Storeroom setting to say whether bin numbers are being used or free text (as current).

The bin number often has significance that includes aisle, rack, level, and bin position. There could be multiple numbering systems existing in a single storeroom especially if one or more Vanas or Modula systems are in use in addition to the regular racks.

Maximo should have a way of being able to register the bin numbers, including importing these from spreadsheet or another system which may be the bin number master, and enforce its use across Maximo rather than just using free text. The Bin Number field ALN 8 should also be much bigger perhaps ALN 20. This must be enabled storeroom by storeroom as it would take time to convert a storeroom to using structured bin numbers.

The existing Storerooms application could be extended for registering bin numbers.
