Visibility of item order quantities at site level similar to Issue History to aid NS to STK decision making

In Inventory we have Issue History with Last Issue Date, Year to Date and the quantities issued for the last 3 years. There is nothing similar for non-stocked items leading some sites to have the item in Inventory although it won't be stocked, current balance remaining at zero.

Maximo has Direct Issue capability where items are ordered without them entering a storeroom but there is no visibility of how often you purchase the item and whether it should become a stocked item. The absence of this functionality is leading to a distortion in how Inventory is handled in Maximo which should be for stocked items. A change was made 10 or more years ago to move Inventory towards stocked items (the stock category was hidden), but this particular gap has never been closed.

When an item is received it writes a record to MATRECTRANS. An action in Item Master called Item Analysis would show by Site the quantities received of the item. Ideally this would work from a selected set of items so that the table columns are Item, Description, Site, Qty YTD, Last Year, 2 Years Ago, 3 years Ago, Last Received Date - the table window can then be downloaded for further analysis before making decisions on whether to stock items or continue to use as Direct Issue.
