This becomes an even larger issue when using KPI templates, which auto generate KPI names making them even more unusable.
I have run into this issue as well since we auto-number our KPIs instead of trying to cram a meaningful name into 10 characters. Start Centers show the KPI description, but Operational Dashboards show the KPITEMPLATENUM instead. I'm not sure why we're going backwards in functionality sometimes!
