Application Designer, dockable or pinable Properties window

This relates to the Application Designer application

Please change the way the Properties dialog behaves to prevent it blocking the view of the canvas.
Possible solutions include:

  • Allow the dialog to be pinned in a position after it has been moved

  • Allow the dialog to be docked on the side

  • Remove the code that makes the dialog snap to the front-and-centre of the canvas


This would be a good idea to address while working on https://ibm-ai-apps.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/MASCOM-I-133.

    Hello Mark,

    Unfortunately, it's unlikely that we would address this in the application designer. This is a larger enhancement than MASCOM-I-133 and our direction was to include this exact improvement in the new MAF configuration tooling.
