Enable Security Authentication for SMTP in MAS to be in compliance with Microsoft Retiring SMTP Basic Auth 3/1/2026

In March of 2026 Microsoft will beginning turning off Basic Auth for SMTP relay connections used by applications.  Currently there are no option in Maximo 7.6.x or in MAS to secure SMTP relay configurations in the application to ensure the emails sent from the application are delivered to the end users.  Having at least OAuth configurations ensure secure emails can be sent from the MAS Manage application and ensure the application meets basic security requirements in today's environment.

    Thank you for your submission. This is targeted for a 9.2 delivery (2Q2026) as well as backported in a patch to earlier MAS supported releases by April 2026.
