Configure IBM MAS Manage to interpret two-digit year entries (e.g., “50”) as future dates (2050) instead of past dates (1950).

We would like to raise a request for an enhancement in IBM MAS Manage to improve date handling functionality. Currently, when a date is entered as 01-01-50, the system interprets it as the year 1950. We propose that the backend should instead recognize such entries as the nearest future date, i.e., 2050, to avoid confusion and ensure accurate data entry for future transactions.

    Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

Thank you for your submission. This is not something prioritized for our roadmap in the next several years and is not clear on what the rules would be for such defaulting. You don't always want a future date, for example if you're trying to indicate the install date of an asset...that would not be in the future...so where do you draw the line? In any case, not something we will be addressing in the product.
