SERVICEABILITY - Manage direct print with attachments as separate print jobs

Currently, in Manage, when selecting multiple work orders, the direct print with attachment will send a single print. In Maximo 7.6.0 , the system property mxe.report.directprint.useapplet controlled whether applets were used for printing, that's of course deprecated now. We need an option to trigger separate Direct Prints, without customizations.

    Hi,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

    In earlier versions of web browsers, security restrictions were less strict, which allowed applications to send files directly to printers without user interaction. This was common many years ago.

    Today, however, modern browsers treat automated printing as a security risk, and they require explicit user interaction for each print action. As a result, if there are 100 records to print, the user would need to manually confirm the print action 100 times. This would be cumbersome for users and also challenging to implement in a reliable way.

    For these reasons, we do not believe this would be a desirable or practical feature given current browser security standards.
