Provide ability to format fields and resize the columns when creating an ad hoc report

When creating Adhoc Reports using Maximo’s out-of-the-box (OOB) functionality, the system automatically determines the column widths based on the length of the attributes included in the report. This default behavior often results in misaligned or inconsistent column widths, which can affect the readability and presentation of the report. An ability to format fields and resize the columns would be a great enhancement and would increase users adoption.

    Hi,

    Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we don’t believe it aligns with our product strategy and roadmap. Therefore, we will not be considering it for inclusion in our product at this time. Thank you again for your feedback.

    Thank you for the suggestion. Maximo already sizes report columns out of the box based on the length of the underlying attributes, so a degree of automatic formatting is in place today. We've reviewed this specific enhancement and, while useful, it sits at lower priority relative to other committed roadmap items. We're assessing feasibility and will update the idea as priorities allow.
