Hello Gianmario,
We have investigated further and determined that TS021208870 is likely valid but may need more information. It was supports understanding that you had installed and then uninstalled Italian, which would result in a sync error. However, if you have never installed Italian, and are using Italian in the LOCALE (not LANGUAGE) setting of a user's profile, this should not cause a sync error. If this is the case, the sync error needs to be investigated and fixed.
Regardless, the only method IBM is willing to support for numeric format is the locale profile setting. We do not intend to delivery a system property to control this globally. The correct method is to use the locale setting on a user-by-user basis. Therefore, we need to further investigate the issue with user sync in a new support case. Please work with Srushti (Srushti.joshi@ibm.com) on this.
After more testing, it appears that the locale for Italian should be available even if the language was uninstalled. Can you provide more information on how the uninstall was preformed? What other options do you see available for locale, and if you select one (such as French) does it function as expected?
The only reliable method to alter numeric formats is through the locale setting in the user profile. As you stated, this worked in EAM 7.6, and it should still work in MAS 9.1, but you have uninstalled the Italian language. This appears to be the cause of the issue? Since the Italian language was uninstalled, you can not select it as a locale in the user profile.
Hi, we want to ovverride the default display format of numeric values. Our locale default setting in MAS for users is "EN"; we can't override the locale setting of the users otherwise it generates an error in syncing users as we discovered in our MAS MANAGE 9.1.4 test environment. So with "en" locale setting, the numeric values > 1000 are shown as: 21,486.40 (as you can see also in screenshot), but we would like to display them in "Italian" format, so for example: 21.486,40
In previous version Maximo EAM 7.6 we achieve these changing locale setting of users, but now in MAS we can't otherwise we have errors in synchronization
