Improve address field mapping during user synchronization between MAS and Manage

When user information is synchronized between IBM Maximo Application Suite and IBM Maximo Manage, the current address field mapping design can cause data integrity issues and synchronization failures.

Currently, Manage sends the values of ADDRESSLINE1, ADDRESSLINE2, and ADDRESSLINE3 as a single concatenated STREEADDRESS field to MAS. However, when MAS synchronizes the data back to Manage, the combined STREEADDRESS value is mapped only to ADDRESSLINE1.

This creates two major problems:

  1. Data corruption / incorrect overwrite
ADDRESSLINE1 in Manage is overwritten with the concatenated value of all three address fields, which changes the original data structure and formatting.
  2. Field length validation errors
Since ADDRESSLINE1 has a limited field length, the concatenated value may exceed the allowed size, resulting in synchronization failures and user update errors.

This issue affects customers using bidirectional synchronization between MAS and Manage, especially organizations with longer or multi-line address formats.

Suggested improvement:

  • MAS should properly split STREEADDRESS back into ADDRESSLINE1, ADDRESSLINE2, and ADDRESSLINE3 during synchronization back to Manage

This enhancement would improve data consistency, synchronization reliability, and overall integration usability for all customers using MAS and Manage together.

Thank you for your submission. There are changes in 9.2 that do not require any synchronization of this data. There is a single set of address fields at the MAS foundation level. Target GA for 9.2 is June 2026.
