Auto-Population of Report Parameters When Launching Reports from Applications

When a user opens a record from any application (other than the List View) and launches a report using More Actions → Run Reports, the report parameter request page should automatically populate parameter values from the currently selected record.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Asset A1000 in the Assets application.
  2. Select More Actions → Run Reports.
  3. Launch the configured report.
  4. Observe the report request page.

Current Result

The report request page does not automatically populate parameter values from the selected record. Users must manually enter values that are already available in the application context.

Expected Result (For Example)

The report request page should automatically populate the following values from the current record:

  • Asset = A1000
  • Site = Current Site ID

This will enable users to run reports directly against the selected record without manually re-entering information that is already available within the application context.
