Add native outage event management in IBM MAS Manage for planned outage records, related work grouping, outage KPIs, budget/goals tracking, and outage-level integration support.

IBM MAS Manage should provide native outage event management capability for asset-intensive organizations that plan and execute major generation outages.

Why it is useful: Outage planning requires a master outage record that is separate from a Work Order or Project. The record should group outage-related work, maintain outage event metadata, track planned versus actual outage dates, support outage-level performance and budget fields, and provide a reliable source for reporting.

Who would benefit: Generation outage planners, maintenance planners, schedulers, supervisors, finance/reporting teams, and organizations using Maximo to manage planned outage work would benefit from a standard product capability instead of relying on custom applications.

How it should work: MAS Manage should include an outage event object that can store outage ID, outage type, unit, site, planned/scheduled/actual dates, project/financial references, schedule adherence comments, planning effectiveness values, budget fields, outage goal metrics, review status, role-based control, and relationships to Work Orders and downstream procurement records. The capability should support reporting and integration patterns where outage IDs are used to classify or group work.
