Provide an option to replicate associated Job Plans and Preventive Maintenance records when transferring an Asset to another Site

This idea is to replicate associated PMs and Job Plans to the destination site to reduce administrative effort and eliminates repetitive manual configuration every time assets are transferred between sites.

The functionality should:

  • Copy all active PMs associated with the asset
  • Copy Job Plans if they do not already exist in the destination site
  • Maintain frequencies, meter settings, seasonal schedules, priorities and work types
  • Allow users to choose whether:
    • replicate only PMs
    • replicate PMs and Job Plans
    • ignore Job Plans already existing in the destination site
    • overwrite or reuse existing Job Plans

The original site's maintenance records would remain unchanged

    Hello Rani, Thank you for taking the time to submit this idea and for sharing the business value behind it.

    We recognize the value of reducing the manual effort required to recreate associated PMs and Job Plans and agree that this could improve efficiency for organizations that frequently move assets between sites. This is a good idea; however, additional research and design analysis are needed to fully understand the requirements, expected behavior, and implementation considerations.
