Conditional Colour Coding of Work Order Numbers in Graphical Scheduling

Enable configurable conditional colour coding of Work Order numbers in the Graphical Scheduling application based on the value of a selected checkbox or boolean field. This allows schedulers to instantly distinguish work orders requiring special attention without opening the work order or adding additional columns to the schedule.

Why is it useful?
Provides an at-a-glance visual indicator for critical or exception work, enabling faster scheduling decisions, reducing unnecessary clicks, and helping planners avoid assigning work that cannot yet be executed due to predefined conditions such as material shortages or operational constraints.

Who would benefit?
Maintenance schedulers, planners, dispatchers, maintenance supervisors, and operations teams who use the Graphical Scheduling application to prioritise, assign, and monitor work orders.

How should it work?
Allow administrators to configure one or more checkbox/boolean fields with associated display colours. When a configured condition is met, the corresponding Work Order number in the Graphical Scheduling view is automatically displayed in the specified colour, with the colour updating dynamically as the checkbox value changes. This configuration should be flexible, require no customisation, and be consistently applied across the scheduling interface.

    Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. Our team has reviewed your idea, and we would like to evaluate the market reach further before we make a decision. So we will leave it here as Future Consideration for others to show support by voting and commenting. We will reevaluate within the next 6months and decide based on the additional feedback. Thank you again for your idea.
