Configure Object Structure to store Synchronous message

In the Object Structures application, there is a checkbox field entitled "Track Requests". the field-context help is as follows:

For REST calls, if the Track requests checkbox is selected, the mxe.int.trackrestrequests system property is set to 0 and the Track Requests at the route level is deselected, then the request for this specific Object Structure is tracked. The field value is not considered if mxe.int.trackrestrequests is set to 1. If the system property is set to 1, all requests are tracked.

I have set the mxe.int.trackrestrequests property to 0 and the mxe.int.storesynchttppmsg property to 1.

This works well in the sense that a REQUESTLOG entry is now only generated for the Object Structures where the "Track Requests" flag is set.

However, the message itself is not saved, even though the property mxe.int.storesynchttppmsg is set to 1.

The only way to save the message seems to be to set the mxe.int.trackrestrequests property to 1, which again opens the floodgates and all synchronous requests are logged, including all the health and monitoring API calls.

Is there a way to save the request message for only those Object Structures where the "Track Requests" flag is set?
