Enhance ALN value handling to prevent the automatic addition of a single quote (') prefix to values beginning with special characters.

The IKEA CAFM Team have experienced an issue in Maximo applications (e.g. Locations, Work Order Tracking) where ALN attribute values are displayed with a leading single inverted quote ('). The issue is observed for ALN attribute values that begin with special characters such as -, @, or +. The same behavior is consistently reproduced in BIRT reports, Ad Hoc (QBR) reports, when downloading/exporting data from the application list view.

According to the PMR team, the leading single quote is an intentional product-level security measure introduced to mitigate CSV/Excel formula injection (CVE-2022-35281) and is working as designed. Instead of applying the protection only to CSV, XLS, or XLSX exports, the change was implemented in Maximo's core output/data processing layer. While PDF is not affected by CSV/Excel formula injection, it still receives the sanitized value, so the leading single quote is displayed as a normal character. At present, there is no format-specific configuration to apply this protection only to spreadsheet formats. There is no supported workaround for List Tab exports, and no plans to modify this behavior in the current release stream. Any change to this functionality would require a product enhancement rather than a defect fix.

As the quotation mark is coming in all the export formats. We think that it is an issue as this should have only been applied to CSV, XLS, XLSX, but the leading single quote is applied across all output formats, including PDF and other report formats where formula injection is not applicable.
We would like to request that this behavior be reviewed for consideration in a future release.
