NIS2 regulatory requirements compliance

NIS2 directive is requesting a lot of things around OT assets cyber security. As these OT assets are most commonly assets which already exists in Maximo, like PLC's, HMI's, SCADA systems, automation devices, measurement equipment, etc, it would be great if requirements coming from NIS2 could be fulfilled in Maximo what comes to asset data capturing like types, IP addresses, firmware versions, etc. and e.g. risk assessments around cyber security and other requirements in NIS2.

This would be obvious way to reach NIS2 compliance system wise what comes to OT assets.

Most likely already currently most of the requirement could be fulfilled but not in that easy way as they might require customizations, etc.
As this same NIS2 directive concerns all countries in Europe and also European companies sites/etc. in other countries it would make sense to have oob solution fulfilling these requirements instead reinventing the wheel again and again.

As this OT cyber security area is not an traditional IT area it often falls e.g. to maintenance or similar organizations to handle and those functions already now uses Maximo as their main tool to handle e.g. PLC's firmware update or similar, which could be supported greatly if all NIS2 required things could be done in Maximo as well in integrated way.

It would also be really beneficial if Maximo could be connected to services offering information about existing vulnerabilities in firmware's etc. and comparing this information against your current asset inventory and highlighting/alarming where there are matching cases/risks so that you could take an action on them and e.g. updating firmware to safe version.
