This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Currently, for each application Maximo shows a list of queries on left side under Available Queries section, based on the value set for system property -mxe.webclient.maxNavbarQueryLimit. These queries displayed do not have any sort applied, also, with the current design, users do not have the flexibility to sort those queries neither from UI nor via configuration. Due to this, the users have to scroll up and down to look for the desired query which is a pain point.
The data to be displayed is built up by Menus.class file, which puts the main queries like All Records, All Bookmarks and then puts in the description of queries without any sort applied.
The users will benefit a great deal having a provision where this data displayed can be sorted via a system property or some setting.

Do not place IBM confidential, company confidential, or personal information into any field.
Please also see MASM-I-1022 requesting the ability to create user-specific Favorites lists of queries to be automatically sorted to the top of the list of public queries.
We could use the same approach similar to the 'Favourites' portlet where you can give a numeric number to each element. This would allow sorting independent of description or any other field
Maybe users could use the View/Manage Queries dialog to provide their own sequence / preferred sort order, letting them pick favorites to show at the top.
There are two fields which are associated with Save Queries (Name & Description). The Name field is hidden but used to sort. Since we utilized the Name field to mask queries to specific sites (we have 6 sites in our Maximo), sorting by the hidden field makes no sense. Need to be able to sort our Save Queries list by Descriptions (what the user sees).
