This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

The REST API has the concept of system actions (actions stored in the restsysaction table) that can enable useful functionality that can be used on any object structure. For example, duplicating a record. We find some common use cases (such as sending a communication template) that doesn't exist out of the box as an action.
This causes us to create multiple action scripts on each object structure that we want to use it on to be able to send the communication from our in memory MBO record. We could create our own java class and load into this table, but we think it would be better if we could build generic automation scripts as system actions so that new ones can be added or existing can be updated without requiring an outage.
